Practicing the illusive art of describing a person, within a moment.
Nikon D40, 18-55mm | Google Pixel 2
Below I am presenting a collection of photographs I have taken with my Google Pixel 2. This may be an act in contention to some viewers. Why? My presumption is that there is a strong narrative which privileges photographs taken with stand-alone cameras, versus the underprivileged phone cameras. We live in strange times.
In fact, we are living in a time which photography is democratized by the mobile phone, allowing countless individuals to redefine the ethic of what is considered "good" photography. Legacy principles apply to the aesthetic of images, but that is not what I am arguing here. Rather, I wish to include these photographs alongside those taken with my Nikon. An act of critical design, put into context that this new era of photography includes the artwork of anyone with a mobile phone.
