Communication Breakdown

It's September 20th, 2017

And we are in the midst of tragedy.

Puerto Rico is destroyed.

Hurricane Maria was devastating.

The consequences continue as a reality to this day.

In the midst of Hurricane Maria, we were asked to come to grips with this tragedy which fell unto the Puerto Rican people.

We have never suffered like they suffer. We have never faced the emptiness of the lives and life-worlds of you and your loved ones, erased in moments.
Could we design something that would bring any comfort to those struck by tragedy?

We could sure as hell try.

So we set to work.

We asked ourselves:
How do communities cope after natural disasters?
What is the reaction of first responders?

We aimed to design a super-lite communications app.

One that could network for emotional support, as well as physical sustenance.

Let's take a look at our first prototype.

First from the position of those in need.

Now, from the position of those who can provide.

How about we polish this up a bit?
